Considerando o encerramento durante o Estado de Emergência de saúde pública em curso devido à pandemia de COVID-19 de diversos estabelecimentos com redes, sistemas e equipamentos propícios à proliferação e disseminação da Legionella, nos termos da Lei n.o 52/2018, de 20 de Agosto, apresentamos as seguintes recomendações relativas às condições higiossanitárias para a prevenção e controlo da doença dos legionários:

Água Quente Sanitária (AQS)

  • Manutenção dos Sistemas Produtores e de armazenamento de Aqs da água;
  • Esvaziamento total da água contida nos depósitos acumuladores, tubagens e demais componentes da rede.” Caso seja mantida a água na rede interna de AQS, deverão realizar purgas periódicas em todos os componentes da rede, garantir o funcionamento contínuo do sistema de recirculação e a manutenção dos níveis de cloro residual”.

Procedimentos prévios à entrada em funcionamento das instalações

  • Limpeza e desinfeção das instalações relativas à AQS;
  • Ajuste dos valores de cloro residual livre;
  • Controlo analítico da água (Legionella spp e Legionella pneumophila) após 15 dias, no mínimo, da realização da limpeza e desinfeção.

Sistemas de Ar-Condicionado e Climatização

  • Manter em funcionamento a recirculação da água, com os ventiladores desligados.

Procedimentos prévios à entrada em funcionamento das instalações no caso de esvaziamento do equipamento e dos respetivos circuitos de água

  • Manutenção dos sistemas de Ar- Condicionado, nomeadamente no que toca aos ventiladores e aos tabuleiros de condensados onde se acumulam as bactérias;

  • Desligar os sistemas de climatização, se existentes;
  • Desligar os sistemas de aquecimento da água

Procedimentos prévios à entrada em funcionamento das instalações no caso de esvaziamento total do tanque

  • Revisão integral das condições de funcionamento da instalação;
  • Limpeza e desinfeção de todos os componentes do sistema;
  • Ajuste dos valores de cloro residual livre;
  • Controlo analítico da água (Legionella spp e Legionella pneumophila) após 15 dias, no mínimo, da realização da limpeza e desinfeção.

NOTA : Os estabelecimentos que, mesmo encerrados ao público, mantêm os diversos sistemas em funcionamento deverão cumprir todos os procedimentos de exploração e manutenção, como se o estabelecimento estivesse em funcionamento normal.
